Osborne Appointments are currently working with their well established client based in Shefford. Our client is the leading brand for surface water drainage systems throughout the world.
The successful candidate will have previously worked in a warehouse environment and gained experience picking orders, loading and unloading vehicles and using warehouse technology such as hand-held scanners.
You must have a current Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence (renewed within the last 5 years and accredited by ITSSAR or RTITB). You will have good numeracy and literacy skills and basic computer skills. The role requires working outside throughout the year, so you must be prepared to work in all weathers! Suitable protective clothing will be provided.
Loading and unloading of vehicles.
Deal with deliveries from couriers and from suppliers of raw materials for manufacturing.
Picking of product to meet customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Checking accuracy and recording of all product movements completed.
Assist with perpetual stock reconciliation and various site stock takes.
To maintain safe, clean and tidy warehouse and yard areas through regular housekeeping.

Promotes high standards of quality and accuracy of work.
Good caretaking of the stock.
High level of numeracy.
Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week on a current rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, (although currently they are working 10am to 6pm instead of 2pm-10pm) Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required to work overtime when required during the week and on Saturdays. An overtime premium will be paid.
