Description

As a Stores and Warehouse operative, you will be joining a fast-growing St Neots company.
Your role will be to work within a team of people in the stores, picking, packing and dispatching medical equipment all over the world and receiving deliveries of all equipment, stock, stationary and sundries.
You will maintain an appropriate environment for stock storage which may vary in temperature requirements and date of use.
Some of the equipment is very expensive so we are looking for people who will be extra careful and are not prone to rushing things and making mistakes. You’ll need to ensure all packaging is adequate to withstand freight handling and is packed up properly for the journey.
You will receive and sign for deliveries of equipment as appropriate, including checking off and putting away all the stock and assisting delivery drivers as necessary to load and unload.
You will be updating electronic records and keeping the database up to date so you will need good keyboard skills and an understanding of databases and Excel.
This will be a busy area with lots of things happening at once so we need someone who will take pride in their department, ensuring it is run smoothly and kept tidy and clean. A daily clean up is part of the team’s responsibilities with a big weekly clean done to high standards.
You will be welcoming to all visitors and couriers and have the attitude of genuinely wanting to help them to get their equipment delivered or sent out on time, even if somethings happens at 'last minute'.
As it’s a small but growing department, we are looking for someone really reliable who can be a solid part of the team when things get busy.

If this is the job for you, you need to hurry! Interviews will start around 1st November and we are looking to make a quick decision on the successful applicants so we can get them started off ASAP.
