Main Purpose of the job:

  • To check deliveries are received in good condition and correct to carrier’s manifest,
  • unpack, check condition and quantities,
  • book into QAD,
  • carry out basic inspection,
  • move to stores as required.
  • Stores duties in movement and issuing of components.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsibility for goods inwards and movements in and out of component stores
  • Ensuring incoming goods are correctly signed for and received in good condition

  • Unpacking, checking quantities and condition, booking in, basic inspection and putting away of purchased items

  • Working with purchasing to resolve day to day queries on deliveries

  • Booking in and putting away of internally manufactured items

  • Assisting with kitting and issuing of components against kits for manufactured and sub contract items

  • Stewardship of component stores, ensuring items are correctly stored and identified

  • Ensuring accuracy of stock quantities on hand

  • Inputting authorized stock movements

  • Keeping component stores clean, tidy and safe at all times

  • Processing waste streams, baling waste and ensuring recycling is optimized

  • Notifying purchasing when non-hazardous waste needs collecting

  • Forklift duties in unloading wagons as well as any other duties within factory

  • To follow the companies and groups internal and external procedures

  • To carry out any such other duties that may be reasonably requested of you

 

Education

Fork lift truck licence

Competency in IT applications and numeracy

Management

  • This role has no direct reports.
