Specification Manager (Southern Territory) ~ GlasGrid

  • Do you have 5 years minimum experience in Highways industry with involvement in specification to pavement Engineers in the Highway and Airfield Sectors.
  • Have you got experience in selling to construction industry

Main purpose and Scope of the Role

Responsibilities

The Specification Manager is responsible for the specification of GlasGrid Reinforcement systems within the UK southern territory. The Specification Manager must also establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base countrywide through the focused specification of our reinforcement system with the Highways England network, Local Authorities and other relevant bodies.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement an annual specification strategy
  • Prepare weekly action plans (planner) for effective search of leads and prospects
  • Initiate and co-ordinate development of action plans to penetrate new areas with GlasGrid
  • Develops and implements marketing plans as needed
  • Regularly prepare GlasGrid specification forecasts for focus across the business
  • Update and maintain all customer relationship management tool records
  • Organisation of CPD specification presentations to potential clients in the southern territory
  • When required act as contracts supervisor for supply and lay contracts in the southern territory co-ordinating deliveries, storage of grid, attending pre contract meetings
  • Managing specification accounts and building relationships with key personnel in the southern territory
  • Arrange & attend meeting with decision makers within the southern territory accounts to facilitate the specification of our GlasGrid system
  • Networking with relevant parties in order to secure extensive and ongoing GlasGrid business opportunities
  • Ensuring internal company functions provide the highest levels of customer service to the GlasGrid southern territory accounts
  • Attend regular meetings about Key accounts and potential opportunities for GlasGrid specification in the southern territory
  • Investigate and resolve queries and issues raised by national accounts

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum experience in Highways industry with involvement in specification to pavement Engineers in the Highway and Airfield Sectors.
  • Strong Presentation style and ability to provide CPD presentations
  • Experience in building business relationships
  • Experience in selling to construction industry
  • Strong problem-solving mindset
  • Understanding of Customer and Market dynamics with an ability to grasp different procurement methods for specification on highway maintenance
  • Capability to managing specification from the start through to completion
  • Driven, proactive personality
  • Good team player
