A great opportunity to join an engineering company in Bedford with fantastic prospects and opportunities for progression – a company that really looks after their staff. They are looking for someone to join their team within a Sales Engineering role and hit the ground running.
Commencing as an internal role supporting the upgrades manager and sales process the expectation is that within 1 6 to 12 month period the position will have travel and sales responsibilities starting in the UK to identify, consult and provide upgrade solutions to exiting installed machinery.
Technical experience – Electrical / Mechanical and Ideally knowledge of software will be necessary.
Our company have manufactured special purpose machinery for use in
the slitting and rewinding of flexible materials for over 50 years.
The machines are very reliable but require updating to replace obsolete equipment
and to update them for the ever-changing production requirements.
They are committed to supporting our customers with upgrades and retrofits to keep
these machines in production and achieving the highest output for our customers.
Technical sales engineer reporting to the Upgrades sales manager to assist in
technical sales of upgrades and retrofit to slitting machinery.
Support upgrade presales, technical questions for quotations
Interface with customers and spares support
Investigate new upgrade products particularly for the Titan range.
Support area capital sales managers and local agents with upgrades Logging
customer requests, gather information to support the request and filter requests
Update CRM system data for upgrades
Develop a technical understanding of the company’s products and the upgrades
which can be offered to the market.
Develop the skill set required to discuss upgrades at the right level with both
customers and sales managers to gain business.
Maintain the standard upgrade packages to enable budget prices to be offered for the businesses product
- Engineering discipline preferably Electrical Bias
- Technical sales experience
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Clean driving licence
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Experience with CRM systems
- Experience with Microsoft office products
