Our client is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to work in Huntingdon for a minimum of 6 months to cover Maternity Leave with the potential of it being long term.
In this role you will be playing a key role in sourcing and management of consumables and other non production items.
Working for this company you'll be effecient in Excel, Word and all MS software. Having good organisational skills and being able to work independantly is also key.
Key Requirements of role:
? Run stock re-order reports on a daily basis and raising orders for any items low in stock
? Expedite all open orders, both due and outstanding
? Process all purchase requisition forms, creating new codes if required
? Control and manage purchase orders created and deal with all supplier and invoice queries on a
? Assist in the day to day running of the vendor controlled consignment stock programme
? Ensure quality and performance of materials are in line with required standards
Additional requirement of the role:
? Take ownership of the Purchasing department's KPI for on time delivery and supplier quality
? Attend meetings with systems manager to review KPIs, determine plan of subsequent actions
? To undertake any other duty as reasonably requested by their line manager
