Maintenance Engineer required on a Permanent basis for a Client of ours based in Hatfield who offer some great benefits including Pension, Life Assurance, Discounts on shopping, insurence, mobile phones and lots more! 

Job Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday + 1 in 4 Saturdays 

Salary: Up to £36,000 for the right candidate!

 

OVERVIEW OF MAINTENANCE ENGINEER ROLE:

The purpose of the role is to carry out site wide repairs and maintenance as part of a small team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be a team player with a willingness to learn and some experience in a maintenance role.

Experience needed in carrying out various tasks to maintain the upkeep and equipment onsite

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN MAINTENANCE ENGINEER ROLE:

  • Complete repairs and maintenance tasks as directed to support the upkeep and presentation of the building. This includes: Electrical, carpentry, general repairs, metal work, basic plumbing, painting and furniture repairs
  • Maintain an awareness of the health and safety requirements
  • Contribute ideas for cost saving initiatives with regards to site services
  • Assist external contractors by controlling areas of work
  • Conduct all PAT testing of equipment
  • Generalequipment maintenance
  • Carry out weekly and monthly H&S checks
  • Risk assessment management and action completion
  • General manufacturing and office equipment maintenance

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR MAINTENANCE ENGINEER ROLE:

  • Reasonable knowledge in LV electrical systems and HVAC & refrigeration systems
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to spontaneous challenges
  • Be confident in working alone when required
  • Have a high regard for H&S awareness, preferably IOSH qualified or above
  • Able to work to strict budgets
  • An analytical approach with excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical engineering experience
  • Knowledge of building repairs and maintenance
  • Willingness to learn
  • Team player
  • Good level of verbal and written skills sufficient to report and monitor repairs
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends
