Osborne Appointments are recruiting for a 6 month Learning and Development Trainer to start immediately in the St Neots area - you must have a driving license.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, this role will deliver a number of core training sessions across the business. This role will work closely with L&D Business Partners, and support L&D projects.

Principal Duties & Responsilibites:
1. Training and Delivery

  • To deliver highly engaging, quality training programmes for a diverse audience of people at all levels, ensuring they are aligned to the organisation L&D strategy. This may include, but is not restricted to

o On-boarding and induction

o Organisational compliance

o Soft skills training

o Technical / specialist training

2. Innovation

  • To keep up to date with L&D best practice and innovations and translate these into best practice solutions in line with the L&D strategy
  • Look to identify issues and potential development and innovation opportunities to improve the learner experience through self and peer assessment

3. Presentation

  • To be a confident and creative communicator and facilitator, able to communicate and present to a wide ranging audience at varying skill level
  • Able to utilise multiple presentation techniques to enable knowledge share and transference.
  • Able to tailor presentations, material and style to different audiences

4. Information Management

  • To collate and accurately input any data or information onto the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Actively contribute to the monthly L&D report

5. Teamwork

  • Support the L&D Business Partners through regular communication, flagging any issues or requirements that impact their regions
  • Work with the wider L&D team on specific projects, providing critical input and support

6. Organisational Change

  • Should be comfortable in working in a changing environment and able to adapt accordingly.
  • Able to be a positive role model for others going through change

7. Other Duties

  • Be proactive and ensure the reporting procedure is in place to escalate any Health and Safety issues you may see
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role

Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience of training facilitation and delivery of programmes for diverse groups across a variety of subject matters
- High level of flexibility to meet business needs
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Experience of engaging learners to ensure maximum learning transfer
- IT literate with an excellent understanding of PowerPoint/Word/Excel and how to use technology as an effective tool

- Knowledge of Powertoons and / or Prezzi
- Knowledge of Safeguard and / or Housing sector

Other Requirements
- Clean driving licence
- Ability to travel and work away from home within the UK
- Able to act at all times in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality at all times
