We have a great opportunity for a talented Laboratory Sales Representative to join a talented team.
This is one of the most important roles within any business, working as part of the Sales Team to deliver growth in existing business areas, as well as developing new business opportunities and new clients.

What will your day look like?

You’ll arrive at the lab in Bedford at around 9:00am, drop your bag off at your workstation and head to the kitchen to make yourself a cup of coffee (or tea). You’ll say hello to your colleagues before heading to your desk to start your day.

As an experienced sales person you’ll be familiar with your typical responsibilities – such as identifying opportunities, liaising with clients to understand their needs and how you can help them; preparing quotes, which you’ll deliver in a timely manner and follow up on to ensure you are meeting their requirements.

You’ll manage your day talking with clients, either on the phone or face to face when practical. You’ll liaise with the laboratory team to ensure our quotes are accurate and our client’s needs can be met.
In your role you’ll support the Business Development Manager with market facing activities, tender responses and other tasks as needed - from time to time you’ll represent the company at industry networking events and conferences, this may involve some travel!

About you…
Previous experience working in a sales role.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to effectively communicate at various levels within organisations.
Excellent communication skills including telephone manner.
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities
