You will be responsible for ensuring the company run smoothly each day and be able to learn the current processes and systems to know them like the back of your hand. You will also be need to help future proof the system for growth and any new technologies that may be added as the company grows and changes. Other responsibilities will include maintaining the budget and negotiating contracts with service providers, current and prospects. Supporting the team and handling day to day support and program/project work will also be a big part of the job so being a good communicator is a necessity for this role.

KEY POINTS OF THE ROLE:

Daily system check that all functions are running
Secure Server room
evaluating the functionality of systems
consulting computer users to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet user or project requirements
selecting and purchasing appropriate hardware and software
managing IT budgets
ensuring software licensing laws are followed
implementing and managing security or integrity and backup procedures
scheduling upgrades
providing user training, support, advice and feedback
testing and modifying systems to ensure that that they operate reliably
managing secure network access for remote users
keeping up to date with new technology
designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation
negotiating new contracts
liaising with service providers and reporting SLA’s and performance
running business reports and analytical work to company KPI’s
website – content management and permissions set up and maintenance
understanding Navision system
user profiles and permissions
set up new users and equipment
close/delete leavers
library of equipment – pc’s/lap-tops/tablets/mobiles
Development of IT in general and new technologies/features to develop efficiencies in the company
Trouble shooting to resolution
Have an in- depth understanding of Dynamic Navision
Report writing for Navision and data analysis
Administrator of CRM Salesi
Working with departments on projects that will change the processing procedures
Writing up step by step processes
Supporting Managers in obtaining reports for data analysis
Internet police and monitoring emails
Ensure company marketing meets GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
Maintain organisation effectiveness by defining, delivering supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
Under takes technological research for future business effectiveness and efficiencies
Completes projects with IT resource support and timetables with users
Verifies application results by carrying out system audits
Preserve assets by implementing and testing disaster recovery and back up
Make recommendations for information technology strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organisation outcomes

Education/Qualifications
A degree or higher diploma level in relevant subject – information technology, computer science or software engineering
Microsoft Dynamic Navision are essential
Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computers
Certificate (MCP) Microsoft Certificated Professional
Some attributes that are key to the role are having strong technical, organizational and management skills and well as being commercially minded and most importantly a team player. Other skills for the role needed include: strong understanding of operating systems, having hands on experience of installing hardware and basic software, experience in a similar role and helpdesk 1st line and 2nd line support. Advanced Excel will also be beneficial alongside experience of ecommerce platform integration.
This Company offer 23 days holiday plus Bank holidays and £20 per month towards gym membership with working hours of 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
