E-Commerce Manager / Project Manager - Online Retail - £30 - £40k.
Are you a confident and experienced Ecommerce Manager looking for a new challenge within a fast paced, rapidly growing, professional company?
As our Ecommerce Manager you will report into the Managing Director and you will be responsible for managing one Web developer.
You will be experienced in dealing with the day to day running of a ecommerce website. You will be responsible for the continuing improvement of the website platform. This will include project management of off new development projects and the continual analysis of data to improve the customer experience and increase revenue. The business is currently running a project to update the website platform and this role will be leading the project.
This is a hands-on role and will suit a motivated individual who has a positive outlook and natural interest in Ecommerce and the latest web technologies.
Managing all day to day elements of our ecommerce platform.
Project management of all technical projects for the website and their prioritisation in line with company objectives.
Develop online sales via improved high conversion rates, strong customer engagement, high brand awareness, high basket value and reduced basket abandonment rate and bounces and assist with improving costumer journey.
Management of internal developers' workload in line with development roadmap
Take ownership of all technical aspects of the website (front end, back end, design, functionality, order processing, integration, page load speed, checkout/basket, payment gateway, server and all other technical aspects)
Work closely with our buying, merchandising and marketing teams to deliver increased conversion rates and a simple/non-confusing customer journey through all pages and all promotions.
A/B testing of website taking decisive action based on findings
Extensive Analysis of Google analytics data, heatmaps data, customer journey/funnels.
Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (such as traffic, conversion rate, cart abandonment, bounces, speed, AOV and any other metrics which the e-commerce manager can influence that impact revenue and conversion rates) and general website performance
Analysing usability and the behaviour of customers, ensuring the journey through the website is as efficient and effective as possible
Carry out regular quantitative and qualitative research on customers to understand our conversion data using surveys, polls, heatmaps and recordings.
Ensure website is always operational, transactional and taking payments
Ensure that the customer data that we hold and handle is secure and that we are compliant with regulations.
Ensure that we are protected against threats (attacks, viruses, etc).
Managing third party relationships (development agency / Site search)
Work with warehouse, customer service and data team to improve our delivery service and review regularly with other stakeholders in the business (MD, warehouse, operations manager, buyers and marketing).
Must have Ecommerce experience on a transactional website.
Experience using standard CMS and E-Commerce platforms
Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage projects
Proactive, entrepreneurial, self-starter, problem-solver with a strategic mind-set.
Experience using Google Analytics and communicating reports
Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge and experience working with payment gateways
A good base knowledge of HTML & CSS
Majority of your experience must have been gained in an SME company
