We have a genuine committment to Education through delivering the highest possible standards of service to schools and support to our teachers.
To ensure we maintain these standards we have certain expectations of our teachers;-
- PUNCTUALITY: When a booking is given in advance you are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes before the children arrive.
- PREPARATION: You are expected to have your own resources in preparation for assignments, as planning is not always available. Support is available from the local office.
- APPROPRIATE DRESS: You are asked to wear professional dress to school.
- NOTES: You are supplied with “record of work” forms and are asked to leave notes for the teacher you are replacing on the days work and events.
- TAKING THE REGISTER: You may be required to take the register, please co-operate.
- CO-OPERATION: If you are requested by the school to do yard/lunch duty or collect money for extra-curricular activities, it is hoped you would co-operate.
- COMMITMENT: If you are in a long term position you are expected to assume the role of a permanent member of staff playing a full role in extracurricular duties, planning & preparation, marking, parent’s evenings and report writing as necessary.
- SAFETY: At the end of the day you must ensure that ALL the children are delivered safely into the care of their parent/guardian.
- MARKING THE WORK: You are expected to remain in the school until all the work done that day has been corrected and the classroom has been left tidy.
- POSSESSIONS: Any keys etc that you may have been given are to be handed in to the school office at the end of the school day.
- PROFESSIONALISM: You are expected to display a professional manner at all times in the school.
